Montessori Education is an educational approach started and developed by Dr Maria Montessori in 1907, the first woman in Italy to become a physician. The method highlights the potentials of a young child and how through scientific observations this method attempts to develop the child’s potential through a “Prepared Environment” with help of trained teachers and specially designed materials . It’s been nearly more than a century after Maria Montessori’s first ‘Casa dei Bambini’ (Children’s House) in Rome, Montessori education is found all over the world, covering ages from Birth to Adolescence.
